Ubisoft has announced a new Tetris game for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. Tetris Ultimate will be released on consoles this summer to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the classic puzzle franchise, with the PC version coming in the fall.
Alexey Pajitnov, creator of the original Tetris, worked on the game with Ubisoft. Up to four players will be able to join in the action in modes including Marathon, Battle, Power-Up Battle, Ultra, Endless and Spirit.
A very short teaser has been released for the game (via IGN), which will also be playable at next week’s E3.
Ubisoft has released a short teaser trailer, comprised of alpha game footage, confirming the existence of Assassin’s Creed: Unity. The trailer also confirms that Unity will be set in Paris, which was suspected after screenshots of the game were leaked showing various famous locations from the French capital. Ubisoft stated that they “weren’t quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC”, but presumably the leaks changed their minds. You can view the trailer for yourself below.
The game has been in the works for 3 years and will be released for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC towards the end of the year. Another Assassin’s Creed game, subtitled ‘Comet’, is rumoured to be in the works for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, but Ubisoft has not yet made an announcement regarding that title.
Ubisoft has released a new story trailer for Watch Dogs which confirms the release date as 27th May 2014 on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It will release on the Wii U “at a later date”. The trailer was originally leaked on Xbox.com but has since been uploaded to Ubisoft’s official Youtube channel.
The game was originally intended to release on 19th November of last year, and be available from launch for PS4 and Xbox One, meaning the game will have had an extra six months of development time when it finally launches.
Ubisoft have also announced exclusive DLC for the Playstation versions of the game which will consist of 60 minutes of additional gameplay. Michael Pattison, Vice President of Third Party Relations at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, explained this, saying,
We’re really excited for the launch of Watch Dogs on both PS3 and PS4 and are confident that it will prove to be one of the standout games of 2014. It’s a unique and visionary game and we believe that the exclusive content available via PSN will not only excite gamers, but showcase how PlayStation is a preferred destination for Watch Dogs.
An image has been discovered in Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag potentially revealing the development of a new game in the series. Read on for details of where the image can be found but beware of SPOILERS if you have not yet played the game.
IGoGaming spotted the image in one of Black Flag’s modern day sections, specifically after sequence 6 in the level 2 security areas of Abstergo offices.
The logo is the same as one which was leaked in March, seen at the top of this page, and was reportedly listed as a Playstation Vita game by a Spanish retailer but the listing was soon removed and dismissed as false by Ubisoft. So is this image confirmation that the game is in fact real or simply an easter egg? We will be sure to bring you more details once Ubisoft has commented on the matter.
Ubisoft today announced that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be released earlier than previously announced – on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 at least. The game will now be hitting stores on October 29th rather than the original release date of November 1st, however if you’re planning on buying the game for a next-gen platform you will have to wait a little longer. The release date for PC, Playstation 4, Wii U and Xbox One remains November 22, even though the PS4 will not yet have been launched in the UK on that date.
Alongside this information Ubisoft revealed a new story trailer of this swashbuckling take on their hit franchise, in which we meet Edward Kenway, the protagonist of the new game. Watch it for yourself below.
