Lost Doctor Who Episodes Discovered

The Second Doctor battling Yeti’s in The Web of Fear

Nine previously missing episodes of Doctor Who from the 1960’s have been discovered at a TV station in Nigeria. The episodes all come from Patrick Troughton’s second Doctor era, specifically the stories The Web of Fear and The Enemy of the World. The episodes were lost when the BBC destroyed many of the tapes in the 1960’s and 70’s following their original transmission, fortunately many episodes were copied to film and sold to foreign broadcasters as was the case here.

Restored versions of the episodes are now available to buy on iTunes. You can find trailers for both serials below.

TLOZ: A Link Between WorldsNintendo of America has released several new details about The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, including previously unknown plot information. It seems the villain will also be a new character although she resembles a female version of Ganondorf and perhaps has some relation to the Gerudo tribe from past Zelda games. She also seems to have the ability to trap people within paintings.

A Link Between Worlds will be released on November 22nd in the US and Europe, you can view the new trailer as well as more screenshots from the game below.

The series will take place between Episodes III and IV and, as the title suggests, will explore the early days of the rebel alliance.

The brevity of the teaser is understandable given that the series is not set to begin airing until Fall 2014.  Stay tuned to Gaming Outpost Alpha for more info as it becomes available.
