Arkham Knight Delayed, Batmobile Teased
Rocksteady today announced that the release of Batman: Arkham Knight has been delayed until 2015. The final entry in the Arkham series was originally due for launch on October 14 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. No official reason has been given for the delay, but it will give the developers extra time to polish the game to perfection.
Softening the blow from this bad news somewhat was the release of a new trailer showing off how the Batmobile will look in the game. You can view it below.
This marks the first time the player has been able to get behind the wheel of the iconic vehicle in the Arkham franchise – it has previously only appeared in cutscenes. The Batmobile has two modes – pursuit and battle – which can be swapped between at will.
The vehicle can also be controlled via remote control, regardless of the distance between Batman and the car. This will be useful should you get in any tight spots and is also necessary for some of the game’s puzzles.
More of the game will be shown at E3 next week so be sure to check back for updates.
