Gold Mario, Mario Golf: World Tour, Nintendo 3DS, DLC

Nintendo has today announced a bevy of new details concerning DLC for 3DS title Mario Golf: World Tour. DLC for the game was first rumoured when it was mentioned in an Amazon listing for the title, but Nintendo has now officially confirmed this in a press release.

With 10 courses and 126 holes, an amount equivalent to previous titles in the franchise, extensive multiplayer modes as well as regional and worldwide tournaments, the main game offers plenty of content for golf fans already. But players who can’t get enough golf and want to expand their experience can purchase up to a total of 108 new downloadable holes and additional Mushroom Kingdom golfers to open up further challenging courses for players to test their skills on and enjoy.

Three separate packs of DLC will be made available but Nintendo is offering them as a three pack set for a discounted rate, although the discount has only been announced for Europe at present. Anyone who takes advantage of this offer will unlock Gold Mario, pictured above, as a playable character, although he will be available to other players as well once all three packs have been released. Owners of the game will also be able to try out the new courses for free in special Trial Tournaments before buying .

Each pack contains two new 18 hole courses and a special character. Full details of pricing and release dates can be seen below.

Mushroom Pack – 2nd May – €5.99/£5.39/$5.99 (Special character – Toadette)
