New Star Wars Episode VII Details Revealed by Lucasfilm
Official information about Star Wars Episode VII has been pretty thin on the ground, with new rumours springing up online on a seemingly daily basis, however Lucasfilm has finally decided to treat fans to a few tidbits about the movie.
It was announced via starwars.com that the movie will begin principal photography in May 2014 at London’s Pinewood Studios. It has also been confirmed that it will be set roughly 30 years after Return of the Jedi, which makes sense considering the age of the original trilogy’s stars, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, who are said to be returning. The movie will centre around “a trio of new young leads” alongside “some very familiar faces”.
There is still no official casting news on any of the movie’s leads, with Adam Driver and Lupita Nyong’o the most recent names to be linked to roles.
Star Wars Episode VII officially hits theaters on December 18, 2015.
